Canon, touted as one of the Fortune’s Most Admired Companies added a feather to its cap by launching the Canon SD700 IS. The latest offering from the largest filmmakers of the world, the Canon SD 700 has redefined ‘sleek’. This digital camera model has been elegantly designed with a one of its kind ‘Curvature and Stream’ look. In addition to it, the camera boasts of hordes of revolutionary features. The Canon SD700 has a variety of shooting options that please even the most demanding of all photographers. The camera is designed keeping in mind both the professional genre of photographers as well as the hobbyists.

The SD700 has a 4x optical zoom lens with an Ultra-High Refractive Index Aspherical (UA) lens that allows it to attain a focal length range of 35-140mm. This in-camera library facilitates the camera to create most favorable adjustments to auto exposure, auto focus and auto white balance before any image in captured.

The optical Image Stabilizer technology in the SD700 is in fact a unique vibration sensors technology that detects and rectifies even the slightest of all camera shakes. Thus, images come sharp, focused and clear. The UA lens used in the Canon SD700 was the world’s first ultra-high refractive index glass molded aspherical lens. This lens is specially made from a type of glass that has a higher refractive index than other aspherical glasses. This allows for superior quality of images without an increase in the bulkiness of the camera.
